RachOh Icon_expert : I just started reading this book because I've long held the belief that the reason I am overweight was because of the food I ate. This book shatters that long-held belief that weight loss is about will, determination and dedication to goals. Nope -- it's about our relationship with food, which is really a manifestation with our personal relationship with "God" [or whatever we mean that to be] -- read it and realize our food habits are really about how we understand the fullness in our lives.

Your relationship with food is an exact mirror of your feelings about love, fear, anger, meaning, transformation and, yes, even God. But it doesn't stop there. Geneen shows how going beyond both the food and feelings takes you deeper into realms of spirit and soul to the bright center of your own life...." Ooooh I like that... I've heard her book "Breaking Free from Emotional Eating" is also excellent. Have you read that one? I also really liked Thich Nhat Hanh's "Savor: Mindful Eating, Mindful Life". Out of curiosity, does it say why it is catered to women?
