I think it was Zig Ziglar who said 'if you go out looking for a friend, friends are hard to find; if you go out to be a friend, friends are everywhere'
I think we can apply the same idea to all levels of relationships: to find love go out and express love, don't wait for someone to love you first...

jason said: @stephenwish, that is a great quote. Specifically in this context, what does express love mean? How would one express love? |

stephenwish said: Now that's an eternal question, oft expressed best in poetry! Perhaps we need to consider the word 'express' rather than 'love'. How do we express anything (communication / presentation)? The terms display and demonstrate come to mind - showing off (revealing) your interpretation and intention for love - in particular that you are prepared to receive love rather than expect it, demand it or take it. Check out Harville Hendrix 'Receiving Love' for much more on this... or "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi. Be the love... |
