Join thousands of voices in song as Revels waves goodbye to summer and welcomes in the fall at this FREE family-friendly Autumnal Equinox celebration taking place in Harvard Square and along the Charles River in Cambridge. Enjoy pre-show festivities, a puppet-filled parade and communal singing with David Coffin, The Revels RiverSing Chorus, guest artists galore, and a fabulous folk band. Expect some surprises too!
The 14th annual Revels RiverSing, a family celebration of the autumnal equinox, will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in Harvard Square and along the banks of the Charles River by the Weeks Bridge in Cambridge.
The celebration will feature pre-show festivities in Harvard Square, a puppet-filled parade to the Charles and communal singing with David Coffin, The RiverSing Chorus, Revels Youth Alumni Chorus, guest artists, a folk band with Ken Field and Stan Strickland on saxophone and children from the Boston City Singers.
Activities will begin in Harvard Square at 5 p.m. The parade to Charles will take place at 5:45 p.m., and the communal signing will start at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Limited on-street parking will be available.
