You'll have four opportunities this month to join a lunchtime Pop-up wellness event and experience a sampling of different fitness trends. You'll also meet Brett Auger, CIC's new Wellness program manager, who has just recently joined the team!
Brett will offer a variety of styles during the Pop-up sessions at each of our Cambridge and Boston locations. All levels welcome!
Week one: CIC Cambridge (1 Broadway): Wednesday 8/7, 12–1:30pm, 5th floor, Havana
Week two: CIC Cambridge (245 Main): Wednesday, 8/14 @ 12-1:30pm, 3rd floor, Mosaic
Week three: CIC Cambridge (101 Main): Wednesday, 8/21 @ 12-1:30pm, 14th floor, Cloud City
Week four: CIC Boston (50 Milk): Wednesday, 8/28 @ 12-1:30pm, 5th Floor Meridian
12pm: Intro To Interval: No-weights required introduction to interval training. Using a progression of easy-to-modify strength moves, this class will show you how easy it is to get in an effective, total body workout even in a small period of time.
12:20: Core & More: Activate your abdominals in this quick, core-focused class that will help lengthen, stretch, and strengthen the primary pillar of the body through a variety of exercises.
12:40pm: Zumba Rush: Come check out this high-energy dance party that will raise your heart rate and tone various muscle groups while you move to world music and easy-to-follow choreography. No previous experience required - just a desire to have fun and dance it out!
1:10pm: Desk Stretch: Join us for a short session to help reverse the effects of sitting and to learn how to counter bad posture, forward lean, and neck tilt. Plus, you'll learn stretches to help relieve tension and stress through the back, neck, and shoulders.
A note from Brett: As the new program manager, I'm so excited to be joining CIC and continuing to develop the Wellness benefits for both CIC staff and clients. With nearly a decade in workplace wellness, I know that each program and client is unique, and I look forward to experimenting boldly with CIC to expand our program to serve you better! I love working with groups and individuals to figure out how to best leverage their time and energy into results (i.e. happier, healthier lives!
