Participants needed Research Study: ScratchJr Activities

Thursday 7/23, 10am - 8/31, 10am, Online

Greetings from the DevTech Research Group!

We are currently searching for children with prior ScratchJr knowledge to participate in a research study around some new ScratchJr activities. This study will be conducted by Professor Marina Bers and her DevTech Research Group at Tufts University. If your child meets the requirements below, we would love for her or him to participate!
age 4 - 8 years old
English speaker
some prior knowledge using ScratchJr
has access to an iPad or Android device with Scratchjr and Zoom installed
has access to laptop, desktop or phone with Zoom installed

This study will be held virtually over Zoom and last approximately 1 hour. During the study, your child will be asked to complete different types of activities using ScratchJr. This will be an innovative learning experience for your child and will help the DevTech team better understand how to make these activities the best they can be!

If you think your child might be interested in participating, you can sign up for a time slot using the following link:

We are also offering a free 75 minute virtual camp for all children participating in the study. This will take the form of a small group zoom with the researcher, in which children will be given ScratchJr instruction and playtime. If your child would like to take part in a virtual camp session as well as an assessment you can sign up using the following link:

If you have further questions about the study, please reach out to the researcher, Jessica Blake-West, at

Sign-ups are first come first serve, we have limited spots available! We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.
