Vacation Week: StoryWalks

Friday 2/12, 9am - 3/12, 9am, Boston

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department teamed up with the Boston Public Library and the Highland Street Foundation (in conjunction with the New England Patriots Foundation) to produce a series of StoryWalk® installations in five different parks around the City. Additional support provided by Xfinity. It’s the perfect way to get some fresh air, while also enjoying the pleasures of discovering a great book!

WHAT IS A STORYWALK YOU ASK?
The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. A StoryWalk is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll throughout the park, you're directed to the next page in the story. StoryWalks have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries and are finally coming to a park near you!
