Saturday 5/20/17, 11am, Pierpont Road Boston
A few years ago the FPC brought back the annual Franklin Park Kite Festival, a tradition first begun in 1969 that s0 many FPC members recall from childhood. Traditionally the Saturday after Mother’s Day, last year’s event drew over 1,000 people to the park to fly kites and picnic.
Boston Bikes brings kids bicycles for children to “rent” for free and Bikes Not Bombs mobile mechanics shop will be on site as well.
Come celebrate our own “opening day” in Franklin Park at the Kite & Bike Festival on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11 am to 4 pm.
This year’s Kite and Bike Festival will also feature food trucks, inexpensive kites for sale ($5, $10, $15, $20), and the debut of the Kit of Parks, which was the winner of the Play Everywhere Challenge hosted by KaBoom!
